HOW TO SPEND VALENTINES DAY IN LOCKDOWN & GIFT IDEAS
I thought I’d put together a post for those of you wondering how to spend Valentines Day in lockdown, wether you are living with or not living with your partner. Although it may not be the normal day you had planned, with trips away, restaurant bookings etc, there is still plenty of ways to enjoy the day. I’ve also included a Valentines Day gift guide at the end of this blog post too for those of you looking for some gift inspiration!
HOW TO SPEND VALENTINES DAY IN LOCKDOWN IF YOU LIVE TOGETHER:
Do some cocktail making, have a competition to see whose is better!
Have a cheese and wine night - nothing better than picky bits in front of the TV, or do a cheese fondue!
Get dressed up and recreate your favourite date night - was it in a romantic Italian restaurant? Order in Italian or cook it, put some italian music on and enjoy.
Have breakfast in bed, such a nice treat. Go all out and make it hotel style with a breakfast tray.
Order in from your favourite local restaurant
Cook a three course meal, make menu's, light candles etc.
Set up for a movie night, get the duvet inn the lounge, make it cosy, grab popcorn, pick n mix, light some candles, even go all out and get a projector for the big screen experience.
Make a playlist together of your favourite songs, songs that remind you of each other. Crank the speakers up and listen over a bottle of wine.
Make a scrapbook together (also a great gift idea).
Create a date jar (fill up a jar full of date ideas for the future), or a jar of your favourite things about each other/your favourite memories together). This would also be a great gift too.
Bake something together
Create a time capsule
Go on a long walk together, bring flasks of coffee/hot choc/tea and some snacks.
Plan an at home Spa Evening - get the face masks out, the massage oils, light some candles and enjoy!
HOW TO SPEND VALENTINES DAY IN LOCKDOWN IF YOU DON’T LIVE TOGETHER
Send a care package to each other, open them together on a video call
Use Teleparty (Netflix Party) to which a film at the same time together
Order a takeaway to arrive at the same time/Order a surprise takeaway to their house
Both cook the same dinner on video call/bake together
If you live locally, go on a long walk together together, maybe to a new place and bring a flask of coffee/hot choc and some snacks!
Make a video montage of all your favourite videos together and send it to them
Plan a future trip together, make a joint board on Pinterest of all the places you want to go together
Make a playlist together over Zoom
Play games over Zoom, like Mr&Mrs, come up with 10 questions about each other, mini quiz on your relationship/the best memories you have together.
